Parallax
A city has no single image.
Its form emerges anew each time the point of view shifts.
Parallax is the apparent change in the position of an object when viewed from different perspectives.
A city is not a fixed landscape.
Fourteen photographers walk the same streets of Tokyo, each from a different distance, moment, and sensibility.
What emerges is not a single Tokyo, but many Tokyos.
Meaning does not reside within a single photograph.
It is found in the space between different gazes, different perspectives, and the subtle shifts that connect them.

VoidTokyo Vol.11 Exhibition -Parallax- was held at LOCAL GALLERY・BOOKS in Koenji, Tokyo, from 25 to 30 August 2026, marking the publication of VoidTokyo Vol.11, released on 15 August 2026.
Since its first issue in 2017, the zine VoidTokyo has reached more than forty countries, and most of its readers are outside Japan.
This eleventh volume brings together fourteen photographers across generations and backgrounds, making it the most layered issue so far.
Parallax, the title of the exhibition, means the shift in how something appears when the point of view moves. The exhibition presented the parallax of Tokyo as each of the fourteen photographers sees it.
Vol.11 was on sale at the venue throughout the exhibition, together with T-shirts and keyrings made in collaboration with LOCAL GALLERY・BOOKS.
